The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence (www.thearcjslc.org) announced the development of a new program, called “Bridges.” This new service coordinates services formerly provided through the agency’s Transitions and Children & Youth programs.

The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence (www.thearcjslc.org) announced that Heather Romanek is the recipient of The Arc New York’s Self-Advocate of the Year Award and Michael Borrelli was selected for the Thomas A. Maul Direct Support Professional Excellence Award. These awards were presented during the State-wide, virtual annual meeting held this Fall.

The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence (www.thearcjslc.org), recently held their Annual Meeting to elect the officers for the Board of Directors, as well as honor employees, volunteers, and individuals supported by the agency. The 2021-2022 elected officers for The Arc Jefferson – St. Lawrence Board of Directors are as follows: Jackie Sauter, President; Jennifer VanReenen, Vice President; and Joanne Rhode, Secretary/Treasurer.

The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence (www.thearcjslc.org) announced that federal contract custodial staff at the two separate sites were honored with the Commendable Service Award from the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). This distinguished award was presented in recognition of the work done during the pandemic at the Robert C. McEwen Ogdensburg Custom House and Massena Land Port of Entry. These federal contracts employ people with disabilities though the SourceAmerica, AbilityOne Program.
