THE ARC JEFFERSON – ST. LAWRENCE’S CAREER SOLUTIONS

The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence’s Career Solutions (www.thearcjslc.org) provides people with any qualifying disability with innovative services to achieve and maintain employment. Career Solutions is an employment agency with a personalized approach and there are openings for candidates now!

The program provides participants with the support they need for success in the workforce and functions as a personnel management resource to local area employers through specialized job matches. In 2025, the Career Solutions team supported 488 people to find work placements. These efforts led to gainful employment for 316 people. The team has regular contact with 78 area business partners and the list continues to grow.

Career Solutions coaches participants on the skills necessary to obtain and sustain a job in the community. Services may include financial incentives and on-site training to ensure employee and employer satisfaction. Career Solutions provides job coaching, job development, career planning, job exploration, resume building, and interviewing skill development.

Career Solutions works with people receiving support from ACCES-VR, Office of Mental Health, and Office for People with Developmental Disabilities.

There are a variety of training options available to meet a job seeker’s specific needs. The Work Readiness Program assists those with a mental health diagnosis to prepare them for employment. Services for people with disabilities may focus on the areas of job transition, intensive support, or ongoing support. Options are available for people interested in learning pre-vocational skills, volunteering, and career exploration, as well.

Pathway to Employment is designed to help people identify their vocational strengths and interests to make a career plan. Through this program, job seekers gain work related experiences based on their person-centered plan to achieve community-based, integrated employment.
