In honor of October’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month, The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence (www.thearcjslc.org), announced that Robert Palmer II was awarded the distinction of “William B. Joslin Outstanding Performer,” from the New York State Industries for the Disabled, Inc. (NYSID.)
“Robert has made a concerted effort to grow in his position to become a true asset to our agency,” said Lynn Pietroski, Chief Executive Officer of The Arc Jefferson – St. Lawrence. “He masters every task assigned and is the epitome of a team player.”
Palmer has been a production worker at The Arc JSLC Enterprises in Watertown for 11 years. During this time, he has become a role model who encourages everyone to do their best. Palmer is very knowledgeable and has assisted in many areas, including troubleshooting the large, flatbed printer, when needed. His goal is to become a graphic designer and is working towards that dream by spending time during his shifts in the agency’s graphic design department.
Robert Palmer is very proud to be selected as an “Outstanding Performer” and states, “I feel this job is the best fit for me, because I am respected by my co-workers. Working here has been like family. I love what The Arc JSLC stands for!”
NYSID is a not-for-profit organization with more than 50 years of experience meeting the purchasing needs of government agencies while advancing employment for New Yorkers with disabilities.
